63 year old Edward Smith from Washington has been with 1,000 lovers – but only one has been a woman. All of the rest have been cars. He follows “mechaphilia”, which is the definition of someone who is sexually attracted to to machines, like planes, trains, automobiles, and helicopters. He claims he once had a quickie with the copter used in the television show “Airwolf”. He says there are at least 500 other guys in the world that have mechaphilia, too.
“Some guys look at boobs and bums on beautiful women. I look at the front and rear on beautiful cars,” he said, according to the Mirror.
Over the past 30 years he’s had so many cars, but he’s finally decided to settle down with his VW Beetle, which he “holds in his arms”. He says the car arouses him enough in order for him to be officially married to it. He named it “Vanilla”.
Upon investigation, it turns out Edward Smith and Sal9000 aren’t the only people who marry non-humans: Below is a list of people who are married to objects including a roller coaster, the Berlin Wall, the Eiffel Tower, and a pillow.
Is the marrying of something other than a human superficial, or only superior to a human partner?
