Creepy or Not?

If you are a “instagrammer” you have probably heard of the setting that allows you to set a location to the picture you have posted. I don’t usually use this setting because I find it a little weird that someone has the ability to see exactly where I am when I took the picture. Not only that but it can also allow a complete stranger to know if you’re alone, where you are and/or where you live. Instagram isn’t the only social media website that uses this setting, facebook and twitter do too. There’s also an app called “Friend finder” which allows you to connect with different people in your circle and see where they are at all times. This one is a bit different because you can choose who gets to see your location settings and who don’t, but it still creeps me out a little because what if your phone got stollen one day and someone was able to access where your followers are at all times? A little weird and scary to think about. I’m not sure if I’ll ever use location settings because I don’t really see the need for it. How bout you guys?

  1. I also don’t like to say what my exact location is. I watch a lot of Criminal Minds and there’s an episode where the killer actually finds out where people are by going on their social media sites! “Friend finder” also sounds a bit creepy and obsessive. Why not just text your friends to see what they’re up to or where they are?
